Moss Park Community Garden finally recieves a new path

5 Mar 2023

Cllr. Will Frass writes on how the lovely Moss Park Community Garden has finally received the new path it long deserved.

Congratulations to the hard-working volunteers who keep this corner of Timperley looking so attractive for the enjoyment of everyone.

Members of the group had been requesting a new path for some time - the old path was dangerous, like so many of our roads and pavements. One of my friends has a scar from a nasty fall there.

Last summer, I noticed a capital expenditure on green spaces report did not correctly list the right place, so I had it corrected to make sure this got done. Frustratingly it was then missed off the list each time, so I had to keep reminding Trafford/Amey.

It was supposed to be re-surfaced by the end of 2022. When I chased at the end of the year, it was getting demoted to 2023.

Then it was re-scheduled for 'March' and -- and now finally, it's been done.
