Lib Dem Councillors out tackling Timperley Flooding

Timperley councillors have been out since first thing checking on residents across our area after last night's floods.

This morning, Cllr Shaun Ennis alerted the Council to levels of flooding in Timperley that haven't been seen here in decades.

Meanwhile, our teams helped wake all the people we could, who live nearby to Fairywell Brook, to alert them that brook was about to burst.

Across the borough, there has been a severe amount of flooding. But it's been far worse than just the usual areas -- everywhere is affected and all the brooks have burst causing bad problems. Even the Bridgewater Canal has burst near Dunham Massey.

Since this morning, the Lib Dem teams have been out checking if residents were okay, making the sure the Council knew the worst hit places and in a few cases, helping to get pumps working.

We have spoken to the Emergency Teams and the gully clearing teams at Trafford today about specific places to try to get them to attend wherever they can - but of course all services are totally stretched to the limit.
